YF-16 01568, second prototype in
demonstrator colors
This was
the first glimpse I ever caught of an F-16. It appeared
in a Belgian Air Force airshow at Brustem airfield and
drew an immense crowd all day long, hence the not-so-good
picture. Later that day it appeared in the flying
programme as well, showing its incredible abilities. The
crowd was pleased !

Force's No.23 Sqn taking off at an airshow at their local
Kleine Brogel base. One of the airshow's sponsors, the
'KB' bank provided the handsome stickers on the
aircraft's tails. Coincidentally, KB is also used as the
abbreviation of 'Kleine Brogel', so the stickers served a
double purpose !

swift and a set of wings and a tailplane from another
aircraft complete the airframe.
